Puppies are all on Royal Canin food 

We have found that they offer the necessary vitamins, minerals and ingredients that are essential for a pets health and our goal is to have healthy pets.

Royal Canin is one of three dog foods that have scientists testing for what is necessary for a healthy pet from a small puppy to an older adult.  

Royal Canin is our preferred brand that has enough Taurine and Grains to keep our pets from having enlarged hearts called DCM which is Dialated Cardiomyopathy.   Studies have proven to show that the lack of taurine and or carnitine and the lack of some grains is causing young pets to older pets to have enlarged hearts which is life threatening.

Chicken based foods seem to have more taurine that other meats.  Also organ meat is good for your pets such as chicken gizzards, hearts and liver.  Beef organ meat is also good but doesn't seem to have as much taurine as chicken or turkey does.  My dogs all love long grained rice boiled in half water and half chicken bone broth.   After 20 to 25 minutes we add chopped up chicken gizzards, hearts and 1/2 pint of livers.  We let it cooks on low for another 10 minutes, let it cool and add it to their Royal Canin kibble or you can give it to them as a treat by rolling the sticky rice with the cooked organ meat into small balls.  Your pets will love you for it. If your dog is allergic to chicken try some beef organ meat cooked in rice.  

Please don't feed your dog grain free foods, peas or lentils without your vets advise or unless they have allergies to grains.  We thought that grain free was best until we did some in depth research and found it is not good at all.
